Iggy Pop Was Not a Role Model

I’m getting shuttled a lot. More of a passenger these days. It’s one of those in-between months. Not quite ready to move, not quite recovered from previous movement. I’m not comfortable enough to unpack just yet. I get dressed out of my luggage.

Getting shuttled a lot. To Ojai, or to a rodeo, or to the grocery in a ratty, catpissed Jeep. I think “I do not deserve many of the favors that have kept me alive”, which is bullshit, but it makes the passenger seat burn, like home.

I’ll tell you I’m almost done getting shuttled. I’m fixing an old Pontiac right now, breaking plastic with my golden screwdriver. Cars don’t need gas, you just need to push the needle to “F”, and it starts, eager as Eddie. I swear to God. Wallahi.
